All Day Program
An all day student may spend up to 10 hours a day at Discovery between 6:30 AM and 6:00
PM. The children will take advantage of our stimulating morning activities. After lunch, time is allotted for naps.
From nap time to pick-up time, a variety of activities including outdoor and indoor play, art, music, story telling
and dramatic play are available.

The Half Day Program
Children in the Half Day program may come 2, 3 or 5 Days. We even try to accommodate parents
with varied schedules. Half Day children may attend 5 hours per day between the hours of 6:30 AM and 1:00 PM. We
recommend children arrive before 9:00 AM so they can benefit from our learning time.

Extended Care
We provide extended care for Kindergarten through 3rd grade students before and after
school with transportation provided to and from some schools. You can also take advantage of our full-day program
many days when public schools are closed for an extra fee.

Swimming
Swim instruction is available to students 3 years old and older at an additional fee.
Each child is scheduled for half-hour lessons with a Certified Water Safety Instructor. Swim students will be grouped
according to maturity and certificates will be awarded upon completion of the course.

Curriculum
Our award winning "High Reach" curriculum stimulates your child and provides
all the necessary readiness skills he or she will need for Kindergarten. Our "Magic choices" program
provides individuals with activities which develop good muscle coordination, cognitive skills, initiate and give
them practice in problem solving, math, reading and writing readiness skills. The goal of the program is to make
learning fun and individualized.

Holidays
Discovery Learning Center closes for 6 major holidays during the year: Labor Day, Thanksgiving
Day, Christmas Day, New Years Day, Memorial Day and Independence Day. When holidays fall on Saturday, the school
will be closed on Friday, when they fall on Sunday the school will be closed on Monday. On Christmas Eve and New
Years Eve, Discovery will close early.

Breakfast, Lunch and Snack
We provide to your child at no extra charge; a well balanced carefully prepared breakfast,
lunch and snack. If desired, you may supply a special treat for the class when your child has a birthday. We always
make it a special day for the birthday child, please notify us in advance if you plan to bring in a special treat
so we can avoid duplication of effort. Chewing gum is not allowed at Discovery at any time.
We also participate in the Childcare Food Program. This program is available to all children
regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability.
